Every Inch a Woman is owned and run by Chris Hadfield and Jo Beevers, it was established in March 2009 and was initially based in an extension at Chris's home at Prom Jurken Branksome Avenue, Barnsley. In October 2009 we finally found our perfect location and moved to 42-44 Shambles Street, Barnsley. We both love the finer things of life, we enjoy the theatre, fine dining and we like to promote enjoying life to the full! We feel that Every Inch a Woman is so much more than just a 'dress shop' it is a place for all ages and sizes to mix. We listen to what our customers want and do our best to deliver. In November 2010, we supported Barnsley's Breast Cancer After Care Fashion Show and had 6 lovely ladies all survivors of Breast Cancer modeling our Designer and Evening Wear. We also held a Christmas Bash on the 6 December 2010 at our local Italian which was a real start to the Christmas festivities. We have since held trips to Ladies Day at Pontefract Races, this will be our third year. We have had two more Christmas Parties, one with Elvis and last year (2011) we had the wonderful Jamie Forth a fabulous Swing Singer.
Our Charity Fashion Shows seem to go from strength to strength and I am happy to say that we raised over for the Royal British Legion in June 2011. This year will we be holding the show in Barnsley Cocktailjurken 2013 Town Hall for the Mayor and her charities, so watch this space.
We have taken the decision to, still be dedicated to curvy ladies, but by popular demand we now start from size 10 to size 32.
We sell a range of New and Pre-loved clothes such as Mother of the Bride/Groom Outfits, Evening Wear, Cruise wear, please contact Jo if you have something we would be able to re-sell for you.
What we no longer stock are the following items:- T Shirts, Jeans, Coats, Work Wear, unfortunately we no longer have the space for these items and want to concentrate on the more difficult to find items and have them under one roof.
Never before in this area has there been a place dedicated to ladies who find it difficult to find Sexy Cocktailjurken something wonderful to wear. In our experience, being larger ladies you sometimes feel like the rails are full of lovely things, but nothing for your size? Outrageous!
