Nope. Brides that I know usually have very specific ideas about what they want the bridesmaids to wear and sadly I've yet to see anything really pretty. You wear the dress once only and then retire it to the back of the closet and forget all about it. I don't know if they do that on purpose so they will look beautiful and you will look like junk or what. When I got married (the first time) I had no bridesmaids. Just a maid of honor and I let her choose her dress. It was held at the church hall and the a lady we hired cooked chicken dinners for the guests. My cousin's band played the music. The wedding celebration was a lot better than the marriage unfortunately! :)
Too much money goes into those stupid weddings. I was a maid of honor for a friend and we both went to a department store and picked out a plain dress. And i was a maid of honor for my brothers Lange Avondjurken wedding and the brides sister made our dresses. It was a similar wedding to yours in a church. Carry in food and record music. But the last time i went to look at dresses forever! She took forever to pick a dress. Of course it was in the closet for years. May i ask how long your wedding Sexy Trouwjurken lasted Rosie? Yup, actually the bride couldn't have cared less and left it up to us, so I had to go shopping with the maid of honor and the other 4 bridesmaids to pick them out ourselves. we went everywhere to look for them and finally settled on Trouwjurken 2013 an ice blue glittery ball gown-ish dress from Macy's -__- it sounds goofy but it actually wasn't that terrible, but one of the girls wouldn't fit into the biggest size they had so she had to improvise by taking apart the back and putting a corset type of lace on it to keep it together. O_o
