The Guess Who - Burton Cummings, Garry Peterson on drums, Randy Bachman on guitar, Jim Kale on bass, with some members of The Good Company - perform on a May 1968 CBC Show of the Week special, hosted by Juliette.

At the time, the Winnipeg band was working as the house band for CBC-TV's Let's Go. Beginning in 1967, the show provided the band with two years of steady income and also gave them further exposure in Canada. Their work on the music program got them some attention from record producers and by 1969, the Guess Who had begun to Lange Avondjurken establish itself internationally. By the 1970s, the band was an international success. Their song American Woman earned the band the title of being the Sexy Trouwjurken first Canadian group to have a No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 in the United States.

Watch Cummings talk about his career:

Their performance on the CBC Show of the Week represents a point of transition for the band Trouwjurken 2013 in a period were it was beginning to move away from its pop influence and display a harder edge and a greater infusion of styles.

Juliette Augustina Sysak hosted the special. On stage she simply went by Juliette and she was one of the CBC's first bona fide stars - a glamorous yet wholesome hostess who sang standards and show tunes to viewers every Saturday night. From 1956 to 1966, Juliette greeted Canadians live on Juliette after Hockey Night in Canada. Always attired in a party dress, she signed off each week with the words "Good night, Mom."

The Juliette show rated among the top ten for Canadian television productions upon its cancellation in 1966. It had aired for a decade, beginning in 1956.
