thoughts on weddings




I think it depends how much disposable income I have. I think if I had the disposable income for it, I would want a lavish wedding. Why not? But I don't understand people who go into DEBT over a wedding. That's just silly. But with the way my career is going (and Een Schouder Prom Dresses I know my parents will also want to contribute), I anticipate being able to afford a lavish wedding without compromising my other life goals. High Low Schoolfeest Jurken So why not? I don't think I would spend much more than 50k, though.





We had a wedding of about 100 people for about $10k. Pretty much just family and close friends. We basically wanted a massive family reunion, particularly for those among our extended family who live on the other side of the country and don't come out to visit unless it's a wedding, bar mitzvah, or funeral.





We used her parents' back yard for the ceremony and reception. She made her own wedding dress (well, not so much made, but spent about $100 on a formal white top, skirt, and some extra lacy material and decorated it herself). Had a friend do the cooking, wife did most of the decorations.





The three biggest expenses were food/drinks/alcohol for 100 people, the rental chairs/tables/silverware/flatware for 100 Korte Cocktailjurken people, and a luxury restroom trailer. Could've cut costs further if we'd really wanted, but we were happy with the end result, as was everyone else. And hey, after all the gifts were accounted for, we effectively turned nice a profit on the wedding!
